Textraw is a recycled-polypropylene landscape ground cover shaped to resemble long-leaf pine needles. Unlike natural straw, it does not decompose into the bed. It is intended to maintain a consistent look for years, but the best result still depends on correct site selection, installation depth, edging and periodic maintenance.
Brandow’s evaluates the complete bed—not just the product—before recommending a conversion.
A uniform reddish-brown long-leaf pine-straw appearance for entrances, foundation beds and high-visibility landscape areas.
Manufactured from recycled polypropylene and designed not to absorb water or decompose like organic pine straw.
Preparation, material depth, borders, slope conditions, drainage and ongoing debris management are considered before installation.
Textraw may fit homes, HOA entrances, condominiums, apartment communities, hotels, restaurants, offices, retail properties, churches and other managed landscapes.
Heavy pine-needle fall can mix natural debris into the product. Flooding, concentrated runoff and poorly defined edges can cause migration. Steep slopes may require a tackifier such as Textraw StayPut. We review these conditions before quoting.
Project availability depends on property conditions, material requirements, route capacity and installation scope.
We would rather rule out a poor site than install the wrong ground cover.

Brandow’s Lawn & Landscape is listed by Textraw South as a Florida Panhandle distributor contact in Panama City. Brandow’s evaluates suitable residential, HOA, condominium and commercial properties and provides professional installation.
Textraw South describes the product as lasting more than a decade, while exposed surface color and overall appearance depend on ultraviolet exposure, site conditions and maintenance. Brandow’s does not promise a universal lifespan without evaluating the property.
Yes. Synthetic does not mean maintenance-free. The surface may need occasional fluffing, debris removal and edge correction. Leaf-heavy areas, slopes, runoff zones and nearby pine trees require special consideration.
Textraw may be a poor fit beneath pine trees where natural needles continually mix into it, in low areas subject to flooding or strong runoff, or where site preparation and edging cannot control migration. A property review should come before installation.
Yes. Potential applications include HOA entrances, condominium grounds, offices, multifamily properties, retail sites, restaurants, hotels, churches and other high-visibility landscape beds, subject to property conditions and approval requirements.
A proper conversion generally includes removing decomposing ground cover, preparing and treating the bed as appropriate, defining edges, applying the specified material depth and addressing slopes or migration risks. The final scope depends on the site.
Send Brandow’s the property address, approximate bed area, photographs and whether the site is residential, HOA, condominium or commercial. The team will review route fit and whether an on-site evaluation is needed.
Send the property ZIP, approximate bed area and a short description. Photos of the beds, slopes, downspouts and nearby trees help us evaluate the site.
